some days all we do is watch the sky.

This is a picture of me and my cousin, Anna, who is such an awesome person. This is taken with her digital SLR camera through a fish-eye lens (sp?). This was taken when we were in Adelaide, Australia where she currently lives. The phrase "some days all we do is watch the sky" is taken from a song's lyrics but Anna & I can both relate to what it means. It's kinda our song hence the phrase written there.

This is a picture of a beach in Brunei. It's not so clear because i took a still shot of it from a video camera, i couldn't find anything better. I included the beach because i like going there when the sun's about to set and just think. Sometimes i go with my family or friends. Either way, it's a place i'd go to with people i love/like. I photoshopped the picture and gave it a little sun. Not sure if it's good because i think you can tell that some features are blurry.

I wanted to put Quinn in a collage type of postcard because i have his pictures EVERYWHERE stuck in my room and the phrase i wrote there was to show how obsessed i amwas with him. :D

Here's a picture of my family and i on the first day of the festive season of Syawal (a celebration month for Muslims after a month of fasting). I played around with Photoshop's filters to create our stone-y looking bodies and blurred ferns. The phrase i've written there is what my father used to tell us. The end product of the best friends picture. I was thinking of doing an 'i miss you' theme in the image but most pictures i found of my friends have them all smiling which doesn't really go with the 'missing' effect.

Those are photos of my friends that i want to mix together in one page. In the middle of it would be a sentence that i found from a song's lyrics but modified a little bit.

New theme idea.

I decided that my theme of the project would be things that were important to me on the last year I was in Brunei before going to the UK to study. The theme before this was 'water' but i think the 'water' theme doesn't really connect with me because it's not personal. The 5 postcard pictures would of my best friends, my family (parents & sister), my unhealthy obsession on the guitarist of the Used; Quinn Allman (the obsession was at its peak during the last year i was in Brunei), my close cousins and the beach where i usually spend time with either my family or friends (i live near the beach).

What? Random picture i made with Paint program a few months ago.
Why? The idea was to overlap the words as if they were thought by a lot of people at the same time. I thought that was pretty smart.
How? I think it's fine as it is.

Gadong

Wbat? Pictures taken in the commercial area in Brunei (where i am originally from) called Gadong. I took it when i went back there for a week during reading week.
Why? It reminds me of random times i spent with my friends and family as it's the only 'entertainment' centre in the district.
How? Probably messing around with the colours (like changing the blue sky to purple, etc.)
